Drinking, partying and romance with beautiful Colombian was the agenda for a dozen Secret Service Agents staying at the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena, Colombia. The group has since been sent home, but it remains unclear exactly how many ladies the present’s men engaged for international relations in advance of the Summit of the Americas.
According to news reports the secret service agents and military personal from the local U.S. naval base met the ladies at the Pley club in Cartagena. The scandal started when one of the girls stayed the night, and then sparked a confrontation when one the agents failed to show generosity in the morning.
It’s unclear if any of the agents sought advice from the contingent of Secret Service that accompanied President Clinton to Cartagena in 2001 when he delivered a $1.3 billion aid package to Colombian President Pastrana.
